CEO & Principal Physiotherapist
Alwyn is the founder of Allied Aged Care and has been a leader in the business and practice of allied health since 2000. He is deeply passionate about continually improving the quality and scope of aged and community care. He is always seeking to create positive change in people's lives and show what is possible in the aged care space.
Marie-Louise ensures the daily admin operations of the business are actioned in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining the highest quality service delivery to meet the needs and expectations of our clients. She is passionate about using her varied skills and experiences to improve aged care.
Team leader - Occupational Therapist
Chelsea is an Occupational Therapist (graduating in 2016 with Honours) and team leader of the Gympie/Sunshine Coast areas. She works in both residential and community care. She is a dedicated leader and allied health professional and ensures client care and clinical excellence is at the centre of everything she does. Chelsea is passionate about working with a wide array of clients and achieving goals specific to each individual.
Adele is an Occupational Therapist with additional qualifications and experience as a Registered Nurse and Veterinary Nurse. Her work as an OT has been predominantly in aged care, but she has also provided return-to-work programs for injured workers. She is passionate about encouraging and assisting clients to return to doing activities they enjoy.
Sam is a Physiotherapist with over five years experience in both Egypt and Australia. He has worked in acute care hospitals, rehabilitation centres and residential aged care facilities. He has also worked in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient units, pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedic and neuro rehab units. Sam believes in a functional approach to treatment by use of manual therapy skills, education and exercise prescription to achieve maximum functional goals. Sam enjoys treating a variety of conditions and is a strong proponent of evidence-based care.
Emilia is a Physiotherapist with over five years experience, specialising in musculoskeletal, sports, and neurological disorders (in both adults and paediatrics). She works in both residential aged care and community/private practice. She is a deeply committed and caring allied health professional and is currently researching the field of geriatric fitness and sport.
Team leader - Occupational Therapist
Bethany graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours Class 1) in 2016. She has keen interests in the area of rural health and assistive technology. Bethany has clinical experience in persistent pain management, education-based paediatric casework and aged care. As a practitioner, she values the uniqueness of each client's story and aims to work collaboratively with her clients, in order to achieve their goals.
Jaikumar is an Occupational Therapist with a post-graduate degree in Occupational Therapy. His areas of expertise are centred in community based rehabilitation, geriatrics, low cost assistive technology and Occupational Therapy education. He has worked with a vast cross-section of patients with varying circumstance in both a community hospital and a special needs school. Jai has published national level papers on the “Train the Trainer” Approach and “Postural Control Rehabilitation”. He has conducted various workshops for parents and teachers in Sensory Integration Techniques and handwriting skills.
Angel is an Occupational Therapist with 12 years experience in paediatrics, mental health and residential care. Angel has a wide range of experience working with the aged, children with disabilities in both special needs schools and rehabilitation centres, and has conducted group sessions in Early Intervention Programmes and workshops. She has played a key role in Acute Care settings in Mental Health and with Multicultural and Multilinguistic patients in rehabilitating with vocational and life skill activities to help them integrate effectively.
